Who we are

SwitchPilot Ltd ("SwitchPilot", "we", "us") is registered in England & Wales. Our registered address is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. You can contact us at team@switch-pilot.com.

What data we collect

• Waitlist signup: email address, postcode, and optionally your address and home size (bedrooms). This is collected through our signup form.
• Comments: if you leave a comment on a SwitchInsights article, we collect your name and comment text.
• Reactions: anonymous thumbs-up reactions on articles (no personal data, just a count).
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics (G-WEQ6VBT567) which collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type). No personally identifiable information is collected by analytics.

Why we collect it

• Your email and postcode are used to send you energy savings estimates and our weekly SwitchInsights newsletter.
• Address details (if provided) help us give more accurate savings estimates for your area.
• Comments are displayed publicly on articles to enable discussion.
• Analytics help us understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing team@switch-pilot.com.

Who we share it with

• Energy suppliers: during our tender process, suppliers receive anonymised group data (e.g. "500 households in the East Midlands"). They never receive your individual details until you explicitly agree to switch.
• Supabase: our database provider, used to store signup and comment data. Data is hosted in the EU.
• Google: Google Analytics processes anonymised usage data.
• Vercel: our website hosting provider.

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time (every email has an unsubscribe link)

Cookies

We use minimal cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to track anonymised usage. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
